Affinitive is committed to protecting the security and privacy of its survey participants. We maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and security for all data collected from survey participants. This privacy notice describes how we collect information and how it is used.
Who is Affinitive?
Affinitive is a marketing and research company that conducts market research and marketing programs on behalf of its customers. Affinitive conducts such analysis through online surveys that are voluntarily completed by consumers. When a consumer provides information through Affinitive’s online survey, Affinitive may share this information with the customer for whom Affinitive provides the survey. Such information may include personal information such as the survey participant’s name, age, address, telephone number, and email address. Participation in Affinitive’s surveys is always optional. A consumer may choose not to provide any personal information, but if such information is not provided by the consumer, Affinitive will not be able to include such consumer in any sweepstakes or other incentives administered by Affinitive or Affinitive's customers.
What kind of information does Affinitive collect?
Affinitive collects information about a consumer’s preferences, thoughts and habits in a wide variety of contexts. A consumer provides this type of information when he answers survey questions. For example, Affinitive may ask questions about a consumer’s general communications preferences or whether such consumer has used a particular product or service within the last month.
Affinitive also keeps automated server log files that record IP address, browser type, time and date, and file accessed for all visitors to this website.
Why do we need your personally identifiable information?
We may collect your name, address, telephone number, and email address if you completed the survey and qualify for a consumer panel, incentive program or sweepstakes administered by Affinitive or Affinitive's customers. We need this information if you have been chosen as a sweepstakes winner for having taken a survey and a prize needs to be delivered to you. We also need to collect this information if you wish to participate in an incentive program run by one of Affinitive's customers. Finally, we may request your email address to contact you for any other potential surveys or incentive programs administered by either Affinitive or one of Affinitive's customers in the future.
If you decide to participate in a consumer panel, incentive program or sweepstakes administered by one of Affinitive's customers, we will share the information provided by you in the survey to such third party, but only if you authorize us to do so. Affinitive only shares information provided by you with the customers for which the survey was created, and this is only after you explicitly authorize us to do so. However, since we do not have direct control over the policies or practices of our customers, we cannot be responsible for their actions. Do you sell or release my name, address or email information?
No, we do not rent, sell or release your personal information without your consent. We may share your personal information with the customer for whom Affinitive created a survey, however, we only do so after you have authorized us to release your information. What do you do with my survey answers?
Since we are a marketing and research company, your answers are analyzed as a whole to determine whether you qualify for sweepstakes or incentive programs administered by Affinitive or Affinitive's customers. In addition, the information which you provide us assists us in determining whether you qualify for any other surveys, consumer panels, sweepstakes, or incentive programs administered by Affinitive or Affinitive's customers. How do I get my prize if I am a Sweepstakes winner?
We will issue your prize to the address you have provided us. This process takes approximately 4-6 weeks depending on the nature of the survey and sweepstakes.
What security measures do you take?
While no system is completely foolproof, Affinitive takes the security of the data collected very seriously. We use secure server hosting locations with 24x7 security and monitoring, firewall protection, controlled access and encryption technology to protect your data.
How do I erase or change information provided to you?
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by emailing us at or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below. We will respond to any request for access within 30 days.
What is your policy regarding children's privacy?
Affinitive does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Affinitive's surveys are geared to the general public and such surveys do not allow children under 13 to participate in the survey.
