Senior PHP Software Engineer, NYC (Social Technologies)
We are looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer to join our development team and work on fun, innovative projects in the social media space leveraging best-of-breed technologies, API's, and frameworks.
We like to keep things agile and develop iteratively, using test-driven development and continuous integration. We whiteboard ideas when possible versus preparing 50-page detailed specs.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience working with modern web frameworks, social APIs, object-oriented PHP and JavaScript, and HTML/css
- Must be comfortable with unit testing, profiling and optimizing code, databases, and other services for quality, performance, and scalability
- Knowledge of a "NoSQL" database (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc) as well as strong relational database knowledge is a big plus
- Experience working in an agency-based environment (interfacing with non-technical staff and clients) is a HUGE plus
Most importantly, you need to be someone who is innovative, collaborative, inquisitive, and confident (but not cocky), able to meet deadlines, and have a 'do whatever it takes' attitude to your work. We have a great office jukebox, so having a good taste in music is also a big plus!

Social Media Analytics Associate, NYC
Do you have a passion for social media? Love data? Excited about Excel? Have a compulsive attention to detail? Then you might just be the person we're looking for!
As Social Media Analytics Associate, you will be responsible for supporting our clients and account teams by collecting and analyzing large amounts of consumer engagement data from client programs and providing quantitative and qualitative analysis and key actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Compile cross-platform social media/consumer engagement data from client programs and develop client-facing reports with quantitative and qualitative insights
- Translate sets of data (brand metrics, sales/CRM data, web analytics) into meaningful insights and specific digital communication opportunities
- Support the establishment of program and campaign benchmarks
- Conduct social listening monitoring and analysis using tools such as Radian6
- Work with account teams to conduct market research
- Work with technology team to help evolve/improve proprietary reporting platforms
- Contribute to company's thought leadership through articles, white papers, and blog posts
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in an analyst role for web, digital, and/or social media.
- Experience in using social media research and analysis tools such as Radian6, Cymfony, Facebook Insights etc.
- Proficiency in Excel, able to work with data quickly and accurately; organized, analytical, self-directed, flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in the media industry and consumer marketing strategies is a plus
