Director of Business Development

Duration: Full-time
Location: New York City (Manhattan)

Description:

The newly created position of Director of Business Development will play a key role in driving the company's rapid growth by managing all aspects of prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business for Affinitive within a broadly defined territory. He/she will report to the company's Founder and President and needs to be a self-starter who can take on multiple responsibilities and deliver results in a fun, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. Affinitive's target client base is drawn from Fortune 1000 companies across industry verticals.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for full sales cycle from prospecting, initial contact, setting up meetings, performing product demos, proposal development to pitches
  • Responding to inbound leads and RFPs (Although Affinitive does have a good deal of inbound inquiries, a large portion of the Director of Business Development role will be prospecting)
  • Closing $100k-$500K+ deals with target prospects, partner agencies and media partners
  • Develop, implement and manage marketing and communications plans to drive sales and company growth
  • Work closely with the Client Services team to understand/interpret client needs and ensure overall client expectations are met and surpassed
  • Some degree of travel will be required for meetings, pitches, and industry conferences/networking (expect to travel 30%-50% of the time)
  • Meeting quarterly revenue goals according to sales plans
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6+ years experience in executive level sales and business development positions selling CRM, relationship marketing, brand marketing, online marketing, loyalty, consulting and/or emerging media solutions to Fortune 1000 companies
  • Experience selling to C level & Director level executives
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of successful sales growth and strong quota achievement
  • Proven expertise managing complex sales cycles
  • Developed contact database within CPG, Consumer Electronics, Food & Beverages, Hospitality, Retail
  • BA Required, MBA a plus
Ideal Background/Profile:
  • Experience selling marketing technology solutions
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills
  • Web 2.0, social media, and word-of-mouth marketing industry experience
  • High level of industry visibility/recognition (i.e., speaking at conferences, writing articles in industry trades, blogging)
  • Strong desire to have a hand in significantly growing a business

Program Manager

Duration: Full-time
Location: New York City (Manhattan)

Description:

Affinitive is seeking an organized, creative and talented individual to handle the day-to-day management of social networking and social media-driven marketing programs.

You should have a background or interest in consumer-focused marketing strategy, social networking and social media, be eager and willing to contribute new ideas, be on top of industry innovations and trends, and have proven experience managing large online communities, blogs or other online groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and facilitate creative activities to engage members of online communities and consumer panels (consumer-generated content, social media, social networking, offline)
  • Contribute to strategy, development, and execution of innovative marketing programs
  • Write, review and approve ideas and content
  • Ongoing reporting and analysis of data and preparation of client reports
  • Work with account, creative, client and media to obtain all necessary information and specifications to produce deliverables
  • Approving user-generated content (photos, videos, artwork, text)
  • Moderating message boards, and provide community member support
  • Manage rewards distribution and fulfillment processes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years experience in interactive/marketing industry (preferably with client-facing experience)
  • Passion and excellent knowledge of emerging media tactics and platforms (social networking, consumer-generated content, social media, blogs, twitter, viral marketing, ARGs, podcasting, online video)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, content management systems, web design (Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash)
  • Experience creating and producing online video a plus
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive thinker
  • A fun personality and great taste in music is a big plus!
